The correct interpretation of the acronym “BRASS” in marksmanship is represented by the phrase "Breathe, Relax, Aim, Squeeze, Support." This process focuses on the essential steps that a shooter needs to follow to ensure accuracy and control while firing.

Starting with "Breathe," it emphasizes the importance of managing breath control to stabilize the body before taking a shot. "Relax" follows, highlighting the need to reduce tension in the muscles, which could affect precision. Next, "Aim" is crucial as it directs the shooter to align the sights with the target correctly. The "Squeeze" component enforces a steady and controlled trigger pull, which is vital for maintaining accuracy. Finally, the inclusion of "Support" indicates the importance of proper positioning and utilizing the body to provide stabilization for the shot.

Each element plays a specific role in improving shooting performance and overall accuracy. Thus, this acronym serves as a mnemonic device to help shooters remember the fundamental steps involved in effective marksmanship.
